    23st Scenic Spot - Hotanam

    It is a big rock located at the point around 0.7km away from 'Geumpotan'. A big rock blocks the way at this place where the water sound, which is gushed out between the thickly-wooden forest trees, sounds cool and since it is covered with the wild mountain bamboo trees growing around, it makes someone feel horrible with a thought that there might be a tiger preparing to rush onto a person. There is a legend saying that while a tiger at Mt. Chilbul went on an errand for the mountain god, slipped down to death here.

    This valley stretches around 1.1kms linking 'Hotanam' to 'Ansimdae'. The clean water flowing down between the dense forest and peculiar rocks presents a mysterious sight.

    25st Scenic Spot - Ansimdae

    Ansimdae, which is linked to Cheongnyu Valley, is a neck of rapids where the passersby, who stroll between Gucheondong and Baengnyeon Temple, cut across the rapids with safety. Since the fall water falling down over and between the peculiar rock cliffs and the clean water are so beautiful, it plays a role as a rest area for mountaineers walking up and down Mt. Deokyu.

    It is located at the entrance of the 'Deokyudae Comprehensive Camping Ground' around 3kms away from 'Sukyeongdae'. It shows a breathtaking view while the fall water, which falls down sliding over the sloped peculiar rocks, is being moonlit.

    27st Scenic Spot - Myeongkyeongdam

    It is situated around 0.3km from Sinyangdam. It is also called, 'Myeongkyeongdam' (Clear Mirror Pool), meaning that the water, which is pooled into the neck of rapids, is as clear as a mirror. Since the water, which is pooled into a pond stopping its flow from a valley, is clear enough beyond description, it looks like a mirror. So, it obtained its name, 'Myeongkyeongdam'. It has been said that there was a monk's cave, so called 'Myeongkyeongamja', in old days.

    28st Scenic Spot - Gucheon Waterfall

    It is located around 0.5km away from 'Myeongkyeongdam'. A 2 layered waterfall pouring the water falling down over the rocky cliff is a work of art created by nature. So, there is a legend saying, 'Once upon a time, some female angels from heaven used to play after coming down riding a rainbow'.

    29st Scenic Spot - Baengnyeondam

    It is situated 0.2km away from Gucheon Waterfall. The clean water of this pond, Baengnyeondam, which has flown down passing by Yeonhwa Waterfall, flows down again after stopping here for a while. It is the last pond leading to the temple, Baengnyeon Temple. Located just under the top of the southern peak of Mt. Deokyu, it is a place where the monks, who visited the temple, Baengnyeon Temple, washed out their bodies and the sins of mind.

    As a valley stretching around 0.3km from Baengnyeondam to Isokdae, it presents a fantastic view that the water flowing down makes the fall water and clouds of spray while touching the layer-on-layer rocks and peculiarly shaped ones at the same time.

    31st Scenic Spot - Isokdae

    sokdae, which is linked to Yeonhwa Waterfall, is located close to a temple, Baengnyeon Temple. A line of fall water sliding down along the narrow grooves of peculiar rocks looks mysterious. The name, Isokdae, means a place that human beings, who leave this world suffering, cut down any connections with the mundane world.

    32st Scenic Spot - Baengnyeon Temple

    It is located around 0.3km far from Isokdae. Located at the mid-slope of Mt. Deokyu, this temple, which has a long history going back to the Shilla Kingdom, is well known as a rest place for excursionists going up toward the top of Mt. Deokyu. As the mountain gets to turn red gradually, the red leaves covering all over the mountain looks marvelous.

    33rd Scenic Spot - Peak of Mt. Deokyu, Hyangjeokbong

    Hyangjeokbong is the peak of Mt. Deokyu around 2.5kms up from Baengnyeon Temple located at 1,614m above sea level. There are a mountain villa and a well for mountaineers and it presents a fantastic view with a kind of alpine plant, Yew Trees, which are clustered here and there, while being harmonized with the azalea & royal azalea blossoms and day-lilies blooming in different period of time according to their seasons as well as a snow-scape in winter. Moreover, the sunrise at Mt. Deokyu, which only can be seen from the top, and a sea of clouds, which build up a heavenly scape, display a breath-taking panoramic view.
